One Daikon Radish Book

One whole Daikon radish is dehydrated into paper and hand-bound into an accordion book. Expanding the practice of making papers out of vegetables to the craft of book-binding, I carefully dehydrated slices of radish in order and connected them with threads. Here, Daikon radish, an inexpensive and unassuming ingredient that can be transformed into a myriad of dishes, becomes a ghostly sculpture that expands and contracts, taking a more flexible shape of its own.
