Mandu Mandu Mandu!

To celebrate the 2024 lunar new year, I made hosted the second dumpling wrapping party. This time, I made Bomandu(보만두), a Bojagi dumpling where you wrap small dumplings with a bigger dumpling wrapper. The word in Korean literally means Wrap(보)+Dumpling(만두). Inspired by bojagi(보자기), a traditional Korean quilt, I made a 5-color dumpling quilt, which I used to wrap 10 smaller dumplings that my friends helped me make. Wrapping bojagi in Korea means to wrap good luck and to share this with friends to celebrate the new year is a new tradition that I get to carry outside of my home country.

Here, you can see me wrap the dumplings.
